The
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Program is a 3 year
full-time program offered at the University with a
view to impart in-depth knowledge and broad understanding of the
basics of information technology. The BCA Program focuses on various
areas of information technology and prepares students for a career
in the field of Information Technology by enabling them to progress to MCA qualification in due course.
Duration
: Three
years.
Program Structure
: The BCA Program is organized into 6 semesters in 3 years. There are 30 courses
including soft skills. Students are additionally required to go through two summer projects and an internship in the
sixth semester. The semester-wise plan is given below.

Computer Graphics, Mobile Computing & Wireless Markup Language, Data Warehousing and Data Mining,
Compiler Design, Structured Query Language and Database Applications, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced

Programming, Theory of Computations, Management Information Systems,
Software Testing and Quality Management, IT Project.
Elective Streams
During the 5th semester, students
are exposed to elective courses in their respective field
of specialization. These elective courses provide an
understanding of the specialized focus fields.
Award
Students who
successfully complete the BCA Program will be awarded the 'Bachelor
of Computer Applications' Degree by the University.
