Objective & Functions

The objectives of ED - Cell is to ensure that the procedures and processes for the entrepreneurs to work which are stated below:

  • To encourage entrepreneurship among the students who would be interested in entrepreneurship with proper guidance and mentoring needed.
  • Provide various facilities and activities to help the entrepreneur to grow.
  • To create a local start up ecosystem, this will help the students, alumni to grow.

  3. To create a local start up ecosystem, this will help the students, alumni to grow.
  4. To create proper monitoring and guidance to the young entrepreneurs
  5. To assist in preparing for the real world challenges in work place
  6. To access wholesome serious ecosystem for realizing start up ideas, peer networking with other entrepreneurs.

Functions

The CELL will carry out on behalf of the University of All Dealings with startups directly and indirectly or through its incubators.

  7. Sponsorship Heads : Mr. Jyotirmoy Roy (Faculty of Management) & Mr. Dikki N Marak (Faculty of Commerce)

Engagement Process

Incubation facility provided by the ED-CELL is open to all the students from various departments of the university and the following category of the startups are identified for the support:

  1. IDEATION STAGE: Those who want to share their ideas can pitch their ideas to the ED-CELL committee
  2. START UP COMPANY: Those who have established a company as per the companies act and are looking for the facilities to run their establishment called Start Up Company.
  3. POC (Proof of Concept): Those who are ready with the product but are not completely ready for customer trials.

In all the cases listed above, there would be MOU signed between the “Company” and the “ED-CELL”. The Company and its representative/employees must comply with the rules and regulations, responsibilities as outlined.

Entreprenuership Development Cell Facility

The ED CELL also enables and empowers entrepreneurs through:

  1. Nucleation of new business by creating the environment and opportunities for know-how providers, entrepreneurs and financers to meet each other
  2. Run an active program in building resources, networks , business and entrepreneurship
  3. Promoting an active program for identification, creation of ideas suitable for new ventures

Applying For The Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Those who are interested in ED-CELL can apply by following the procedures:

  1. The new applicants will have to register their name, address, contact details and basic particulars with their product ideas.
  2. ED-CELL will ask for a presentation in which they can present their ideas and points will be awarded to the best ones.
    1. Strength of the product based on the innovation and market potential
    2. Profile of the team
    3. Intellectual Property Rights creation
    4. Funds requirement and viability of raising funds
    5. Employment creation potential
